PARADISE FISHING LODGE, September 2014 FISH REPORT

The Last couple weeks has been good. We did start to get a few nice tuna, but there still not here in full forcé. The marlín bite was great for a couple weeks, but that slowed down a bit over the last week. we have had very good luck around the islands and have caught plenty of big roosters and snapper along with many other types of fish.

I have made a bit of progress on expanding my marina, my permission finally came out for me to build a gas station. I hope to start building in the next month. We will be selling Gas to Boats from the end of our dock and also cars and trucks that pass on the road.

Hope to see you here this year for the Best and the Biggest Fishing in Panama and all of Central America.

Saudi Arabia the most brutal place on the planet where no child or goat is safe from rape

Released: Imam raped, tortured 5-yr-old because he ‘doubted her virginity’

In the eyes of Saudi Arabian jurisprudence, Sheikh Fayhan al-Ghamdi has been released from 13 months in jail and subsequently cleared of his rape, torture and murder conviction against his daughter due to the “blood money” he paid out to his former wife, as reported by the International Business Times (of London, UK) on March 10, 2014.

Sheikh Fayhan al-Ghamdi.

Facebook – Public Domain

As previously covered last year by Examiner.com, al-Ghamdi was initially sentenced to pay out $50,000 to his ex-wife per Islamic Sharia Law regarding the savage killing of their daughter, Lama al-Ghamdi, as “blood money” compensation in the death of his child.

However, a Saudi court has sinced imposed an additional 1 million Saudi riyals ($270,000) as additional payment to Lama’s mother. With the payment comes no further possibility of future fines or punishment.

A popular TV preacher in Saudi Arabia, al-Ghamdi suspected his 5-year-old daughter had brought shame upon the family by somehow losing her virginity.

In response, the Sheikh inflicted the following upon his child:

  • A broken back.
  • Raped multiple times.
  • A crushed skull.
  • Numerous burns throughout her body.
  • A broken left arm.
  • Multiple broken ribs.

Al-Ghamdi also admitted in court to using a cane as well as electric cables in the torture/rape of his child. Hospital social worker Randa al-Kaleeb stated the child had been raped “everywhere.” The little girl managed to linger for ten months before finally succumbing to her injuries.

Money Laundering In Panama

THE PANAMA insurance market is strengthening preventive measures in order to get the country removed from the “gray list” of the International Financial Action Group.

Money Laundering In Panama

Money Laundering In Panama

The latest measure taken by the Superintendent of Insurance and Reinsurance was hosting the forum ‘Measures for the Prevention of Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism in the Insurance Sector’ in which issues were addressed related to the prevention of money laundering and risk management in the sector.

Katherine Arjona, deputy director of the Insurance and Reinsurance Regulator of Panama, told Capital.com.pathat “… The Superintendency has been actively involved with local and international organizations in order to create the legal and structural platform to establish actions necessary for the prevention of all types of financial crimes, to enable the country to get off grey lists which currently cloud the image of Panama as an International Financial Centre. “

The Superintendent, Luis Della Togna said that “… There is no doubt that the insurance industry depends on an effective monitoring process based primarily on an analysis of financial statements, audits and continuous monitoring of suspicious transactions.”

PANAMA is still identified as a “high risk” area for money laundering and remaining on the grey list presents a threat to the competitiveness of the banking and financial center. The news comes from the Superintendency of Banks which says that removing the country from the list will be more complex than expected, as not all sectors see it as a priority issue for the economy.

Panama needs to improve legislation and controls in the financial system in order to achieve compliance with the recommendations made by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

In assessing compliance with FATF’s 49 recommendations, made in October 2012, Panama has failed to meet 19 of them, completely complied with 3, and partially complied with 26. Reports Capital.com.pa

Alberto Diamond, chief of the Superintendency, said “the gray list affects the perception of our reputation, constituting a threat to the competitiveness of the banking and financial center.” According to the regulator, a major financial center never appears on discriminatory lists and currently ‘we are identified as a country at high risk of money laundering.”

Able SerracinIn the late 1880’s, an Italian man named Antonio Saraceni left the burgeoning outpost of Panama City and departed into the jungle for points unknown. No one knows what inspired him (and his six companions) to ride into the wilderness, just as the story of the journey has been lost to time. What we do know is that by 1892, Saraceni had established a coffee orchard that he called Finca Estrella (Star Farm) in a 39-hectare sheltered valley between two mountains, with a view to the rising sun. Today, his great grandson Abel (photo, below) carries on the family tradition begun over 120 years ago, stewarding the land and managing the Villa.

California ports to compete with the Panama Canal

California ports to compete with the Panama Canal

The Bulletin Panama

Long Beach is installing more infrastructures to move containers from China.

“We are preparing for increasingly larger ships,” says Jon Slangerup, CEO of the Port of Long Beach, California. “The ships will be wider, deeper, and more containers will have to be unloaded from them faster.

The Bulletin Panama

“This is about future security, and the port is spending nearly $5,000 million in infrastructure investments in a 10-year plan because I literally do not know how much more trade will enter the docks”.

The eight biggest ports in the world are in East Asia, shipping out articles of all kinds for the whole world.

The ninth is on the other side of the Pacific in California, about 13 days by sea. The Bay of Los Angeles, south of the city, is the gateway of Asia to America, the first consumer country in the world. They are actually two ports. The port of Los Angeles, the largest in the US and the port of Long Beach is the second. Together, they are moving 14.7 million containers per year, with cargo valued at $465,000 million. On a map they can’t be distinguished from each other because they are separated only by a street.

Through the Port of Long Beach (POLB) 6.7 million containers move annually with cargo valued at $ 180,000 million. Trade with Asia accounts for 90% of operations of POLB. The company expects volume figures to double towards 2030. The intensity of trade with Asia is such that the Chinese New Year holidays are noted by decreased activity in Long Beach, said Don Snyder, director of business development of the port.

They could manage more, but not with the sizes of ships that are starting to be built by the shipping lines. “Market conditions are changing to large ships,” said Slangerup. Increasingly, ship owners are associating into groups with giant ships to save on costs. “We’re going to see ships of 22,000 containers,” he says.

In this context, the jewel of Long Beach is the Middle Harbor project, costing $2,000 million in investment in modernization and making a 20% increase in cargo capacity. Highest harbor cranes are 140 feet tall. The Middle Harbor will have them at 165 feet. This allows them to get more scope to take containers from the megaships, so-called Triple E class, carrying up to 18,000 containers.

Moreover, the terminal is completely electrified. There are no diesel vehicles. The deliveries are made by robot cars that stack the containers. When completed, this dock will be the fourth largest port in the United States, with a capacity of four million containers and operate virtually without the presence of humans.

Panama, its main competitor

The main competitor of the ports of California is the Panama Canal. It was the leader for taking Chinese goods to the rest of the USA, depending on whether it is better to unload in Los Angeles and continue by train, or pass through the canal to unload in Texas or northeastern ports. Currently, the so-called Post Panamax vessels, which carry up to 8,000 containers are 16% of the world fleet but carry 45% of all cargo. The expansion of the Panama Canal, ending in 2015, is intended to accommodate these ships and more, called New Panamax, up to 13,000 containers.

Long Beach is convinced that in the next world, the Panama Canal will be obsolete before they finish their expansion works, because they can not compete to attract the Triple E ships, which he estimates, will dominate trade with Asia.

The Danish shipping company Maersk, one of the largest in the world, has announced an investment of $3,000 million in new vessels until 2019 “The Panama Canal is the same as what happened to freeways of Los Angeles, that when they finished building. the number of cars had grown so much that they were obsolete,” says Noel Hacebaga, deputy executive director of POLB.

Besides the Panama Canal, California ports have one eye on the port of Lazaro Cardenas in Mexico, which has easy access by the railway to Texas, which also makes it a threat.

US ports are spending billions to adapt their infrastructure to the world of giant ships. Long Beach, which is underused by 30% just by this trend, takes 10% of that amount. It’s a big bet. “It is not certain that this new capacity will be full,” says Hacebaga. “In this business, time is money, literally. If the product does not pass through the supermarket in time, many people lose money.”

This is true Islam and what almost every Muslim believes, death to anyone who does not follow the teaching of the profit Muhammad.

The law of Islam also know as Sharia Law.

Convert or Kill anyone who does not believe in Islam,

You may kill and kidnap their women and make their women your wives up to 4 women per man.

You will treat your women as if you own them, like sheep or camels.

If your women disobeys you, you must kill her to keep your other wive in line.

You can steal, kidnap or buy a women, but she must be over the age of 10 years old to marry her, because if you rape a women under 10 years of age you will end up killing her while making her have sex with you.

Although the profit Muhammad had fifty wives in his harem that ranged from 6 years old all the ones under 10 years died during sex with him, so in his teaching he lets you know not to do this.

Islam in a Nutshell – Scary stuff!

Islam in a Nutshell

What is the greatest threat to our western civilization?
Islam is not a religion, nor is it a cult. In its fullest form, it
is a
complete, total, 100% system of life. Islam has religious, legal,
political,
economic, social, and military components. The religious component is a
beard for all of the other components.

Islamization begins when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to
agitate for their religious privileges.

When politically correct, tolerant, and culturally diverse societies
agree
to Muslim demands for their religious privileges, some of the other
components tend to creep in as well.

Here’s how it works:
As long as the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any given
country, they will be for the most part be regarded as a peace-loving
minority, and not as a threat to other citizens. This is the case in:

United States — Muslim 0.6%
Australia — Muslim 1.5%
Canada — Muslim 1.9%
China — Muslim 1.8%
Italy — Muslim 1.5%
Norway — Muslim 1.8%

At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and
disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among
street gangs. This is happening in:

Denmark — Muslim 2%
Germany — Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom — Muslim 2.7%
Spain — Muslim 4%
Thailand — Muslim 4.6%

From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to
their
percentage of the population. For example, they will push for the
introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby
securing
food preparation jobs for Muslims They will increase pressure on
supermarket
chains to feature halal on their shelves — along with threats for
failure
to comply. This is occurring in:
France — Muslim 8%
Philippines — Muslim 5%
Sweden — Muslim 5%
Switzerland — Muslim 4.3%
The Netherlands — Muslim 5.5%
Trinidad & Tobago — Muslim 5.8%

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow
them to
rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the Islamic Law.
The
ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the entire
world.

When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase
lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. In Paris ,
we
are already seeing car-burnings. . Any non-Muslim action offends Islam
and
results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam , with
opposition to
Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam. Such tensions are seen daily,
particularly in Muslim sections in:

Guyana — Muslim 10%
India — Muslim 13.4%
Israel — Muslim 16%
Kenya — Muslim 10%
Russia — Muslim 15%

After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad
militia
formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches
and
Jewish synagogues, such as in:

Ethiopia — Muslim 32.8%
At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror
attacks, and
ongoing militia warfare, such as in:
Bosnia — Muslim 40%
Chad — Muslim 53.1%
Lebanon — Muslim 59.7%

From 60%, nations experience unfettered persecution of non-believers
of all
other religions (including non-conforming Muslims), sporadic ethnic
cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon, and Jizya, the tax
placed on infidels, such as in:

Albania — Muslim 70%
Malaysia — Muslim 60.4%
Qatar — Muslim 77.5%
Sudan — Muslim 70%

After 80%, expect daily intimidation and violent jihad, some State-run
ethnic cleansing, and even some genocide, as these nations drive out the
infidels, and move toward 100% Muslim, such as has been experienced
and is
on-going in:

Bangladesh — Muslim 83%
Egypt — Muslim 90%
Gaza — Muslim 98.7%
Indonesia — Muslim 86.1%
Iran — Muslim 98%
Iraq — Muslim 97%
Jordan — Muslim 92%
Morocco — Muslim 98.7%
Pakistan — Muslim 97%
Palestine — Muslim 99%
Syria — Muslim 90%
Tajikistan — Muslim 90%
Turkey — Muslim 99.8%
United Arab Emirates — Muslim 96%

100% will usher in the peace of ‘Dar-es-Salaam’ — the Islamic House of
Peace. Here there’s supposed to be peace, because everybody is a
Muslim, the
Madrasses are the only schools, and the Koran is the only word, such
as in:

Afghanistan — Muslim 100%
Saudi Arabia — Muslim 100%
Somalia — Muslim 100%
Yemen — Muslim 100%

Unfortunately, peace is never achieved, as in these 100% states the most
radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their blood
lust by
killing less radical Muslims, for a variety of reasons.

‘Before I was nine, I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was
me
against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family
against
my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; the tribe against
the
world, and all of us against the infidel’. — Leon Uris, ‘The Haj’

It is important to understand that in some countries, with well under
100%
Muslim populations, such as France, the minority Muslim populations
live in
ghettos, within which they are 100% Muslim, and within which they live
by
Sharia Law. The national police do not even enter these ghettos. There
are
no national courts, nor schools, nor non-Muslim religious facilities. In
such situations, Muslims do not integrate into the community at large.
The
children attend madrasses.
They learn only the Koran. To even associate with an infidel is a crime
punishable with death. Therefore, in some areas of certain nations,
Muslim
Imams and extremists exercise more power than the national average would
indicate.

Today’s 1.5 billion Muslims make up 22% of the world’s population. But
their
birth rates are higher than the birth rates of Christians, Hindus,
Buddhists, Jews, and all other believers. Muslims will exceed 50% of the
world’s population by the end of this century.

Well, boys and girls, today we are letting the fox guard the henhouse.
The wolves will be herding the sheep!

NOTE: Has anyone ever heard a new government official being identified
as a
devout Catholic, a devout Jew or a devout Protestant…? Just wondering.

Devout Muslims being appointed to critical Homeland Security positions?
Doesn’t this make you feel safer already??
That should make the United States much safer, huh!! Was it not “Devout
Muslim men” that flew planes into U.S. buildings only 10 years ago?

We must never forget this. Was it not a Devout Muslim man who killed
13 at Fort Hood ? (He killed “From within” -don’t forget that).

Also: This is very interesting and we all need to read it from start to
finish. Maybe this is why our American Muslims are so quiet and not
speaking
out about any atrocities. Can a good Muslim be a good American? This
question was forwarded to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20
years.
The following is his reply:

Theologically – no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, The moon God of
Arabia

Religiously – no. Because no other religion is accepted by His Allah
except
Islam (Quran, 2:256)(Koran)

Scripturally – no. Because his allegiance is to the five Pillars of
Islam
and the Quran.

Geographically – no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca , to which he
turns
in prayer five times a day.

Socially – no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make
friends
with Christians or Jews..

Politically – no. Because he must submit to the mullahs (spiritual
leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and destruction of
America , the
great Satan.

Domestically – no. Because he is instructed to marry four Women and
beat
and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34)

Intellectually – no. Because he cannot accept the American Constitution
since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be
corrupt.

Philosophically – no. Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not
allow
freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist.
Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.

Spiritually – no. Because when we declare ‘one nation under God,’ the
Christian’s God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as
Heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran’s 99 excellent
names.

Therefore, after much study and deliberation… Perhaps we should be
very
suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. – – – They obviously cannot
be
both ‘good’ Muslims and good Americans. Call it what you wish, it’s
still
the truth. You had better believe it. The more who understand this, the
better it will be for our country and our future.
The religious war is bigger than we know or understand.

Can a Muslim be a good soldier???

Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, opened fire at Ft. Hood and Killed 13.
He is a good Muslim!!!
Footnote: The Muslims have said they will destroy us from within. SO
FREEDOM IS NOT FREE.

Until recently, the expat community in the Pacific beach neighborhoods has been primarily made up of retirees. In the last 5 years a younger demographic has begun to arrive, and their needs are different than those who came before.

Many of the new residents have young children and seek social networks beyond what the beach community already offers. While “happy hours” have been the forerunner in community connection, there is now a growing need for more family oriented functions. Parents want events where their kids can meet other kids, they can connect with other parents, and spend quality family time.

The first institutions to act on the needs of young families were, naturally, the schools. The three International schools in the area, Panama Coast International School, Coronado International School and Five Stars Academy, offer a variety of kid friendly initiatives.

Coronado International School (CIS) offers dance, soccer, and music programs that are open to children in various age groups. This year CIS will also introduce parent and student councils, as well as a recycling program in their school cafeteria.

Students at Five Stars continue to nurture a school garden. They also offer ocean familiarity programs such as swimming and surfing as part of their extra curricular activities.

Panama Coast International School (PCIS) is in the final stages of completing their open-air performing arts center. The center will include a stage to host student performances, as well as fairs. This year PCIS will hold their third annual Science Fair and their first annual History Fair. Also new for students this year, are the tennis, golf and swim teams.

Schools are not the only organizations making strides to develop family friendly community programs. Parents who own local businesses have also been organizing events with kids and parents in mind. Last month United Country organized their first Family Beach Day.

We spoke to Marla and Roberto Diaz, owners of United Country Real Estate, about the event. Marla explained that the activity was created as an opportunity for not only parents and their children, but also anyone looking to take advantage of the Pacific playground in our backyard. Being avid surfers and business owners with a wholesome outlook on life, Roberto and Marla wanted a non-happy hour event that the community could be involved with. On family beach days, free surf lessons are also offered. Participants are requested to do their part to keep the beach clean, and leave with one bag of trash.

There are two Family Beach Days scheduled for October: Saturday Oct. 11 and Saturday Oct 25 – both start at 10:00 a.m. Currently the venue is Playa Serena in Coronado, but it is subject to change based on the surf conditions. For up to date information visit the PlayaCommunity events page, The Coronado Family Surf Facebook group, or email: surfnyogamarla@gmail.com

UPDATE: There will be a Family Beach Day on Friday October 3 at 4:00 p.m. the location will be Playa Serena
