The Last couple weeks has been good.  We did start to get a few nice tuna, but there still not here in full forcé.  The marlín bite was great for a couple weeks, but that slowed down a bit over the last week.  we have had very good luck around the islands and have caught plenty of big roosters and snapper along with many other types of fish.

I have made a bit of progress on expanding my marina,  my permission finally came out for me to build a gas station.  I hope to start building in the next month.  We will be selling Gas to Boats from the end of our dock and also cars and trucks that pass on the road.

Hope to see you here this year for the Best and the Biggest Fishing in Panama and all of Central America.

Panama Canal Information and Tours

Live web-Cam of the Panama Canal

The history of the Panama Canal goes back to 16th century. After realizing the riches of Peru, Ecuador, and Asia, and counting the time it took the gold to reach the ports of Spain, it was suggested c.1524 to Charles V, that by cutting out a piece of land somewhere in Panama, the trips would be made shorter and the risk of taking the treasures through the isthmus would justify such an enterprise. A survey of the isthmus was ordered and subsequently a working plan for a canal was drawn up in 1529. The wars in Europe and the thirsts for the control of kingdoms in the Mediterranean Sea simply put the project on permanent hold.

The federal government wants to ban sales of electronic cigarettes, They are Cutting into Tax Revenues

Looks like the Federal Government and State Governments now realize that E-Cigarettes are cutting into the high taxes that they have been collecting from unfortunate people who were addicted to Tobacco Cigarettes in the 50′s and 60′s now they are attacking their source of income in the billions of dollars.

News of the World  by Panama Jack and (AP) April 24, 2014 9:AM

I started Smoking E-Cigs about 7 months ago and I have never felt better in my life, no more coughing, no more shortness of breath and no more nasty taste in my mouth.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The federal government wants to ban sales of electronic cigarettes to minors and require approval for new products and health warning labels under regulations being proposed by the Food and Drug Administration.

Panama Jack switched to E=Cigarettes and says it id the best thing he has ever done.

Panama Jack switched to E=Cigarettes and says it id the best thing he has ever done.

While the proposal being issued Thursday won’t immediately mean changes for the popular devices, the move is aimed at eventually taming the fast-growing e-cigarette industry.

The agency said the proposal sets a foundation for regulating the products but the rules don’t immediately ban the wide array of flavors of e-cigarettes, curb marketing on places like TV or set product standards.

Any further rules “will have to be grounded in our growing body of knowledge and understanding about the use of e-cigarettes and their potential health risks or public health benefits,” Commissioner Dr. Margaret Hamburg said.

Once finalized, the agency could propose more restrictions on e-cigarettes. Officials didn’t provide a timetable for that action.

Members of Congress and public health groups have raised concerns over e-cigarettes and questioned their marketing tactics.

“When finalized (the proposal) would result in significant public health benefits, including through reducing sales to youth, helping to correct consumer misperceptions, preventing misleading health claims and preventing new products from entering the market without scientific review by FDA,” said Mitch Zeller, the director of the FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products.

The FDA said the public, members of the industry and others will have 75 days to comment on the proposal. The agency will evaluate those comments before issuing a final rule but there’s no timetable for when that will happen. The regulations will be a step in a long process that many believe will ultimately end up being challenged in court.

E-cigarettes are plastic or metal tubes, usually the size of a cigarette, that heat a liquid nicotine solution instead of burning tobacco. That creates vapor that users inhale.

Smokers like e-cigarettes because the nicotine-infused vapor looks like smoke but doesn’t contain the thousands of chemicals, tar or odor of regular cigarettes. Some smokers use e-cigarettes as a way to quit smoking tobacco, or to cut down. However, there’s not much scientific evidence showing e-cigarettes help smokers quit or smoke less, and it’s unclear how safe they are.

The industry started on the Internet and at shopping-mall kiosks and has rocketed from thousands of users in 2006 to several million worldwide who can choose from more than 200 brands. Sales are estimated to have reached nearly $2 billion in 2013. Tobacco company executives have noted that they are eating into traditional cigarette sales, and their companies have jumped into the business.

Some believe lightly regulating electronic cigarettes might actually be better for public health overall, if smokers switch and e-cigarettes really are safer. Others are raising alarms about the hazards of the products and a litany of questions about whether e-cigarettes will keep smokers addicted or encourage others to start using e-cigarettes, and even eventually tobacco products.

“Right now for something like e-cigarettes, there are far more questions than answers,” Zeller said, adding that the agency is conducting research to better understand the safety of the devices and who is using them.

In addition to prohibiting sales to minors and requiring health labels that warn users that nicotine is an addictive chemical, e-cigarette makers also would be required to register their products with the agency and disclose ingredients. They also would not be allowed to claim their products are safer than other tobacco products.

They also couldn’t use words such as “light” or “mild” to describe their products, give out free samples or sell their products in vending machines unless they are in a place open only to adults, such as a bar.

Companies also will be required to submit applications for premarket review within two years. As long as an e-cigarette maker has submitted the application, the FDA said it will allow the products to stay on the market while they are being reviewed. That would mean companies would have to submit an application for all e-cigarettes now being sold.

When two single Jewish women travel in Panama City for a much needed vacation, they can expect to be wined and dined every single evening. And when there are enough good kosher restaurants, over a half dozen, you can bet that these two single girls were happy to oblige. Our friend’s parents alerted the neighborhood of our arrival and every night, there would be a knock at the door and gentleman would sweep us away to a different restaurant. Unfortunately, none of these gentlemen was memorable enough.

But the food was.

One restaurant in particular,Darna, under the creative eye of AyeletVahnish Gal, was worth two trips and a visit to Ayelet’s nearby café that nearly cost us our flight home.  My favorite dish was the Corvina Ceviche.  Ceviche is made by “cooking fish” in the acid of citrus juice, typically lime juice.  I first tried ceviche in medical school when my Venezuelan classmate wanted to share with us some of her favorite foods.  In Venezuela, she explained, ceviche is traditionally made with scallops, but she replaced them with a white fish for me.  I was fascinated by the idea of cooking fish in the acid of citrus juice and since then, I have many variations with salmon and tuna.  But the ceviche at Darna was the first authentic ceviche I had tasted in a long time.  Ayelet explained that Panamanian Ceviche differs from other South American ceviches in using more onion and adding celery to the mix for crunch.  Ayelet shared her recipe with me and I modified it to accommodate ingredients found in the US.  Enjoy!

“Super” kosher market serves Jews of Panama City

“Super” kosher market serves
Jews of Panama City
By Donald H. Harrison

Panama City, Panama (Special) — American Jews accustomed to finding a small “kosher” section at their supermarkets do a double-take at the Super Kosher Store here. It looks like any other supermarket, only here the small section is for the “nonkosher” foods.

The 15,000 square-foot supermarket is the largest, but not the only, kosher food store in this community of 7,000 Jews where it is estimated that more than 85 percent of the families — perhaps as much as 95 percent — observe kashrut.

Superkosher in Panama Moises Zakay, whose family has been in the kosher food business here for 40 years, estimated that 90 percent of the food section shelf space is for kosher foods, and only 10 percent is for nonkosher foods. The foods which are not kosher are clearly marked with a red sticker, just in case someone picks a package up and then reshelves it in the wrong area.Jewish community members are not the store’s only customers. Because Panama City is a capital city, there is a large diplomatic community. Muslims and Hindus are frequent shoppers. So too are Panamanian Christians who like the fresh meat and poultry offered by the store. A facility for the kosher
Moises Zakay and his Super Kosher Store in Panama City.

slaughter of chickens is located in the basement below the supermarket. “The community is using about 5,000 chickens a week,” Zakay said.  Cuts from about 50 head of cattle a week are purchased from a butcher who sells nonkosher parts of the cow to other markets.

Zakay’s family came to Panama from Jerusalem, his father serving as a chazzan in Colon, a city on the Atlantic side of the Panama Canal. Although early Jewish settlement was in that city, today it is almost entirely in Panama City.

When the Zakay family opened their first store 40 years ago, the Jewish community in Panama numbered about 2,000. “We decided to build something that would serve the community,” Zakay said. “In the beginning it was difficult: people were not quite observant.”

Under the guidance of Rabbi Sion Levy, who has served the large Shevet Ahim Synagogue for nearly a half century, the Zakays kept their prices for kosher foods competitive with the prices offered for nonkosher foods at other markets. Generally, kosher meat and poultry cuts are no more than 10-15 percent higher. In part this is possible because the community, rather than the store, pays the salaries of the shochtim (ritual slaughterers).

“We make kosher observance very easy,” said Moises A. Mizrachi, a leader in the Jewish community here and a former Panamanian ambassador to Israel. “That is why most people observe kashrut  here.”

From a small store, the Zakays moved to a larger one. Five years ago, they opened a full-fledged supermarket. It includes a kosher lunch counter and sitting area, where shoppers can taste some of the kosher delicacies right on site.

Is Panama Truly a Retirement Haven? Part 1, 2, 3,

Part 1 by  George Rajna and Panama Jack in Exile in Costa Rica

Over the last 10 years, countless periodicals, blogs and websites have claimed that Panama is an ideal retirement destination for a variety of reasons. The cost of living is low. Quality health care and government sponsored retiree benefits can save expats money and provide solid investment opportunities to either start up an entrepreneurial business or purchase real estate.

by George Rajna and Panama Jack in Exile in Costa Rica

There is no doubt that Panama has serious pluses for potential retires who desire to relocate abroad to a country with a cheaper standard of living than the United States and Europe. The country of Panama is blessed with beautiful islands, ample coastline beaches, mountain retreats, and colonial towns. The people are friendly and outside of Panama City, the atmosphere is generally quite laid back and easy going. With a population of only three million, the country does not feel overly crowded.

Panama City

We Said Go Travel (WSGT) delved into the county of Panama and investigated various locales that have been written about and praised in the media to determine if we agree that abundant fantastic retirement options exist in Panama for those considering the possibility of living abroad. In part one of this five section series, we will inspect the first stop that travelers will likely make when arriving to Panama, the metropolis of the country, Panama City.

With an eclectic mixture of modern high-rise buildings and Casco Antiguo’s refurbished old town, Panama City has aspects that are appealing. Accruing substantial daily revenue from the fascinating Panama Canal, the government has pumped major dollars into the city infrastructure, constructing a respectable skyline and a rejuvenated old town. The best healthcare in the country can be had here and there is no shortage of nightclubs for those who desire an active nightlife. A variety of budget to quality international restaurants are available.

Despite these positives, Panama City has some serious drawbacks. First of all, crime can be a serious issue in many of the barrios that are meshed within the city. The so-called red zones are notorious for robbing tourists; even in the daytime, one should exercise precaution. Another drawback is the heinous traffic that is especially noticeable from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m..

During these hours, the streets of vast portions of Panama City become filled with idle vehicles pumping pollutants into the air. Even though the city is near the water and pretty views can be had from locations such as the Causeway de Amadores, there are no beaches per se located within the city that would be recommended for swimming. Outlying beaches such as Punta Chame are within striking distance but at least an hour outside of the city depending upon traffic conditions.

All in all, WSGT deems Panama City a nice place to spend a few days enjoying the city skyline, the old colonial Casco Antiguo and, of course, the amazing Panama Canal. However, after a few days, we were ready to move on to more secure and less congested locales laden across the country. As for Panama City, we enjoyed what the city has to offer, but would not recommended it as a potential retirement destination in itself.

Panama City

Part 2 by George Rajna and Panama Jack in Exile in Costa Rica

Our next stop in Panama took us to the mountain highlands of El Valle de Anton. Highlights include a small town vibe with ample hiking trails to waterfalls and a hot springs within walking distance of the town’s small central area. El Valle’s energetic marching band rehearsed in the evenings, adding a touch of culture and pep to the sleepy town ambiance.

In the morning we hiked toward La India Dormida, passing a few cascading waterfalls amidst a tranquil natural setting. The trail was well-marked but slippery in steeper sections. The day hike was pleasant, but nothing exceptional. At the hot springs we applied a mud mask exfoliate that dried as our feet dangled in a thermal heated tub. Once the mud hardened, we rinsed off in a shower and submerged ourselves in the warm springs. Later that evening, I strolled to the base of the mountains where the square-trunked trees are situated; unfortunately, I did not find them as night fell upon the area.

Our stay in El Valle was pleasant. We enjoyed tasty Panamanian food at Don Penas and watched the marching band practice for the upcoming festivals in November. Even though El Valle was a decent stop outside of Panama City, we found the small town noisy, as substantial traffic passed through the main street during all hours, making it unpleasant to walk along the road. Our conclusion is that El Valle is not a must-see destination and definitely not a place to retire abroad. We continued our search as we traveled onward within the Peninsula de Azuero toward a small colonial town situated near the coast called Pedasi.

Our first impression of Pedasi was that of disappointment; after noticing that for the most part, Panamanians maintain their country free of rubbish, we noticed that the central petite colonial square was trash-laden. I left Lisa in the square as dusk turned to night. I located higher and lower end accommodations in our guidebook and entered the latter. The room was small and musty but after the proprietor dropped the price I was lured into staying there. After settling in we roamed the small town, enjoying the laid back ambience and the colonial architecture as well as the amiable locals. We ate dinner at an Italian pizzeria just on the square and consumed $1.00 tacos. After dinner we roamed around, but had already exhausted the town’s central area.

The following morning, we noticed that the streets of the main square were cleaner. Evidently, a recent festival had been held. We headed straight out of town towards Playa Toro, the nearest beach to Pedasi proper. Once out of the town, the paved highway curved amidst green fields and lush farmlands. After a few kilometers, we reached the end of the road where Playa Toro was situated. The tan sand burned hot with little to shade beach-goers except a manmade tarp that was strewn over erect poles. Entering the sea, modest waves pummeled large stones over and onto my feet, leading me to exit the waters. Despite the evident drawbacks, the beach was attractive, especially the far end with greenery penetrating the coastline.

el valli golden frogs

Returning towards town, we attempted to reach another local beach that was regrettably out of reach on foot. A moped would be a more appropriate means to get around Pedasi and the surrounding beaches. Once back in town, we were not sure what to do, having already strolled around town. The heat was punishing with little in the way of breeze, as Pedasi is located far enough inland to escape the ocean winds. We departed that afternoon toward Chitre and then onward to Santiago.

Pedasi was pleasant enough with a small colonial core and outlining wild rocky beaches strewn with driftwood. However, as we were uninterested after a brief visit, we wondered what retirees would do with their spare time. We certainly feel that Pedasi has merit but we were not yet prepared to unload our Los Angeles condo to relocate to Pedasi.

Part 3: Santa Fe

Having arrived in Santiago, we realized that we were an hour and one half bus ride to the up and coming retirement hillside retreat, Santa Fe. We purchased bus tickets and entered rural Panama, penetrating fertile land where farmers toil the land and life goes on as it has for many years excluding technological upgrades. As we reached the spread out town “center,” the driver pointed downhill when I inquired about the whereabouts of Hotel Santa Fe, a budget option that sounded more appealing than the bare bones accommodation alternatives. We hauled our luggage and fatigued bones downhill, passing sparsely populated rural farmland with mountains such as Cerro Tute evident in the background. Hotel Santa Fe was basic but pleasant, clean and comfortable.

While we relaxed before dinner, an unexpected knock rapped our door. When I answered, two friendly faces greeted us, stating that they heard English spoken, and came by to invite us to dinner. Climbing the steep hill toward central Santa Fe, we arrived to the basic but affordable and tasty restaurant Popular; local Panamanian food such as stewed chicken served with a side of rice, beans and salad cost $3.25usd per person. Full and satisfied, we returned to our hotel armed with rum and mixers. I broke out my deck of cards and taught our new friends Alex and Behr how to play a card game. Enjoying each other’s company, we agreed to go hiking together in the morning to Bermejo Waterfall, a four hour hike round trip.

We ascended and descended steep paved road, passing a few inns, orchid gardens and organic farms until we reached an inner tube rental place situated on the river. The setting was beautiful with lush dense forests and jungle surrounding us. Immersing ourselves in the cool fresh water felt pleasant after the hot hike. We agreed to continue onward to the waterfall and then return to the tube rental place to literally float back to our hotel; the plan was foiled when we got lost amongst the rural hills, relying on the friendly locals to assist us in our return to Santa Fe.

That evening at our hotel was spent relaxing, reading, and writing. I spoke with one of the managers who informed me that we could rent a house for only $100.00 per month. I calculated how cheap one could survive in this town and had placed it at the top of my recommendation list for foreign retirees. The town was attractive with friendly locals and the restaurants served up tasty and cheap food. Affordable accommodation would not be an issue and the attractive surrounding mountains dotted with waterfalls amidst the green fertile forests and jungle seemed a no brainer.

Paradise Fishing Lodge Panama PH. 855-244-8862

However, something occurred that night that led to cross Santa Fe off my list. What could it have been? Chitras! I am referring to a sand fly that cannot be seen but they left all of us with marks across our entire arms, legs, and portions of our torsos. The bites were dreadfully itchy and uncomfortable. I figured we were attacked being new in town but noticed some locals also had notable bite-marks across their arms. Unfortunately, the bugs make Santa Fe an unpleasant place to retire even though it has benefits and merit for those interested in quiet countryside living. To avoid more bug attacks, we packed our bags early the following morning and departed to determine if Boquete, an extremely popular locale for expatriates to retire, would suit us as well.

Bacon the Duct Tape of Life

Bacon, Bacon, Bacon

News of the World By Panama Jack in Exile in Costa Rica

Bacon is the Duct Tape of Life

Just take a look of the above, we are talking Bacon loved by everyone, Muslim, Jews, Buddhists and Christians.

The problem is that Muslims, Jews and Buddhists are not allowed to eat Bacon, based on Health, Religious Laws, oor someone’s teaching.

Back in the good old days in Judaism, Simon was the head of one of the 12 bribes of Israel and Simon who brother Himie was a sheep farmer. the was another man by the Name of Jacob and Jacob was a pig farmer.

It turns out that Mimie went to his brother the head of the tribe and said,Simon this guy Jacob is running me out of business with Pigs. It seemed that the people of the tribe liked bacon, Lettuce and Tomato Sandwiches better that they like cold Mutton Sandwiches and it was costing Himie money.

Simon took into account that his brother needed some help so he declared that Pig was an unclean animal, even though Jacob keep his pigs spotless, washing them every day and making the best Bacon in the world for his heard of squeaky clean pigs.So Simon declared that GOD had said not to eat Pig and it became the law of Israel and the law of all the Jews n the world.

Now Mohammad had a totally different problem with pigs, Mohammad had a problem with his followers and their attraction to pigs and we are not talking about their attraction to Bacon or Roasted Pork, we are talking about the Sexual Attraction to female pigs, it seemed that a grown Muslim Man would would rather have sex with a pig and with their many wives. The reason Muslim Men would rather have sex with pigs, is all about Crotch Rot now if you ever smelled crotch rot you also would rather have sex with a pig or donkey.

So Mohammad realized he could never over populate the earth if his followers were not fornicating with women, so Mohammad wrote in the Koran thou shall not fuck pigs and that Pig was the white Satin from the west and that no Muslim shall ever own, raise, keep or have a pig ever. And also in penance shall never eat bacon.

Now Buddhists they just do not kill anything, so they do ot eat animals.

Hookers, Hookers, Everywhere… Sex Tourism in Panama

Hookers, Hookers, Everywhere… Sex Tourism in Panama

Friday, April 18, 2014 8:09 AM Contributed by: Don Winner Views: 281,403
By DON WINNER for Panama - It’s a dirty job but someone’s got to do it. Long-time readers will know that I rarely shrink away from the opportunity to write about hookers and the sex trade. Panamanian authorities want it both ways, to be able to say they are doing something to control the sex trade but then again they are not doing a very good job. There are “areas of increased tolerance,” whore houses that have been operating for decades, but the government has a cow if someone puts up a website in English promoting Panama as a destination for sex tourism. Finding a hooker in Panama is one of the easiest things to do, but prostitution is illegal in Panama. But if prostitution is illegal then why do they have mandatory clinics for all of the hookers? How can you required a sanctioned hooker to carry a card from the Ministry of Health saying she’s good to go if prostitution is illegal? And if they are seeing the girls at the health clinics every week, why don’t they make sure they are all registered and working legally? And if you’re going to bust someone in the sex trade, how come you only go after foreign owners (specifically, Americans) and not the Panamanians who own the seedier whore houses? As you can see, I still have a lot of quesitons about this whole thing. At least the homework is fun. (more)

The Cotton Club: There’s a new place that’s about to open (supposedly) on Via España, just below the El Panama Hotel. It’s called the Cotton Club and there are a couple of questions I have about this place. First of all, according to a source in the immigration office, they have not handed out any new “alternadora” visas since the new director Ricardo Vargas took over. Their line is that he inherited the system as it is and is doing the best he can to manage things the way they are, within the confines of existing law. Perfect. Party Line. Got it. But then how is the Cotton Club going to open, I ask? If, according to existing law, the “alternadora” visas can not be transferred from one club operator to another then are there going to be any “alternadoras” working at the Cotton Club? Or are they all going to be Panamanian hookers? Remember that one of the main reasons they went after the Midnight Club (supposedly) was because their “cupos” for the “alternadora” visas were assigned to the Life Girls club but the sign out front said Midnight Club. And, if the guys at immigration are right and no new “alternadora” visas have been issued for the Cotton Club, then what’s going on? Lovers of transparent government want to know.Smell the Farts in Church: The other thing is that the Cotton Club is only about 200 meters from La Iglesia Del Carmen in Panama City. And someone told me (remains to be verified in Panamanian law) that you can’t have a whore house within like 500 meters of a Church. According to this picture, the Cotton Club can’t open in this location. And who are the owners of the Cotton Club, anyway? Is there any chance that the raid against the Midnight Club (which is practically right across the street, just a little further away from the church) and the opening of the Cotton Club are related? Whatever. Just more questions I have about this industry in Panama.hookers in panamaWhy Should I Care? I don’t. The guys that care are the rest of the club owners who don’t want to see another option come open. Every owner in town wants to be the only guy operating in what is now a very competitive business. The owners “steal” the girls from other clubs by offering them better working conditions or chances to earn money. And the girls know where the guys go, and they go where they get the best payday. And here’s the kicker – the club owners who are following the rules (law) and playing the game the “right” way have the biggest complaints about the clubs that are not operating legally. For example…Check Out The “Felice” Club: Not for the faint of heart. It’s in Santa Ana just up the street from Nelson’s on the corner. Again, I did my best “dumb wandering Gringo” routine and the table guy filled me in on the place in thirty seconds. They have rooms upstairs where the girls live and they will go for $15 bucks a pop. There’s no cover and national beers at $1.25 a bottle. Have a great time. There are places like this, low end whore houses, all over town. They are in the worst parts of town in places you really don’t want to go unless you know what you’re doing. But most of them don’t have any kind of permits or permissions to be working in the sex business but they’ve been there forever and have paid off all the right people decades in panama10% Entertainment Tax: The government gets 10% of every $30.00 glass of champagne that you buy a stripper. Betcha didn’t know that one. In Las Vegas there are more than 180 strip clubs and most of them are open 24 hours a day. They charge $7.00 bucks a beer, and of every beer they sell .70 cents goes to the gub’ment. The Panamanian government should have a huge fiscal incentive to make sure that all of the hookers are on the books because they would make a whole hell of a lot more money in taxes. The increased revenue would more than make up for any additional costs required for manpower, etc. It would be a money-maker. Shake it for La Patria, baby…So, How Many Hookers Are There, Anyway? Excellent question. And, no one knows the answer. There are about 1,000 registered sex workers all over the country, including foreign “alternadoras” as well as Panamanians who are registered to work in massage parlors and the like. But there are an estimated 4,000 hookers who are “independents” or working off the books. They are not registered or required to go to any kind of health screening or education. For the most part they are either Panamanians or foreigners who have been through the system a couple of times and they know there are significant fiscal incentives to remain off the books, and little down-side if they don’t.Busted For Being A Hooker? It’s an administrative process, not criminal. That means there’s no chance of jail time if you’re caught. A cop can catch you getting some action in the middle of Parque Porras and the worst thing that will happen is a $20 fine from the “corregidoria.” Have a great day. C’ya next time. All of the corregidores have seen the hookers who routinely work in their areas of responsibility, especially the Panamanians who can’t be deported. The point is this – there’s not much of a down side even if they get busted, and in any case the chances that they will get caught are slim in any case. What Does It Cost to Be Legal: Short answer, about $250 bucks a month. That’s the total cost for a girl to be on the books, pay her dues and fines, go to the clinics, get the visas, etc. And that’s not counting the cost of clothes, those black leather boots with the 6″ spiked heels and the short red mini-skirt. Independents just need a cell phone and a pad to work from. They advertise in the “personals” section of all the major newspapers and turn tricks like it’s going out of style. OK, this is a test. I’m going to see how many cell phone numbers I can come up with in ten minutes on the Internet for hookers in Panama. Ready? Go!…

  • Go figure – The first one I run into is for the ladies, on an add for a “tall black guy, athletic, will only make house calls or to hotels. 6509-7283″ There are a bunch of adds on Encuentra24.
  • Classified Ads: Aim High, shoot low. If you would like to check out the ads currently running in “La Critica” just follow this link go to straight to the adult section. There are currently 26 listings, mostly independents working off of a cell phone who will come to you.
  • This Counts: Call 6628-7526 for the “Tienda Divertida” sex toys store. This counts because they apparently have a home delivery service, and if you’re too embarrassed to go out and buy that 12″ model that takes two “D” batteries then they will scoot that sucker right over to your door, no questions asked.
  • Back To The Hookers: Check out The Oasis Club for a quick massage. More about this place later.

That Was Ten Minutes: No kiddin’. I didn’t even really have to try. It’s not like they’re hiding or anything. As part of my deep and probing research into this subject I wandered over to the center of gravity for Panamanian hooker-dom, Via Veneto. I walked around the inside of the casino for awhile, then walked out of the front door of the hotel and headed for Via España. I had barely cleared the Dunkin Donuts, and doing my best to look like a gringo who had been in town for about thirty seconds, I was approached by the guy who sits on the stoop in front of the Oasis Club, handing out cards and dragging people in to get a “massage.” I asked “what kind of a place is it, a bar or what?” Yeah, there’s a bar. Come on in and have a good time. The funny part is that when I followed the dude into the massage parlor there were two people there in the entrance who are supposed to be the “meet and greet” people to steer you through the process. They were both talking on the cell phone, and this was the side of the conversation I could hear:

  • “Yes sir. It’s $30 an hour for the massage. You pay that up front and then head into the back with the girl of your choice.”
  • “Like I said, sir. You pay here at the front desk and then you head into the back with the girl, so the cost of the massage is paid up front. Then later, you know, whatever happens between you and her is up to you.”
  • “I really can’t say. Like I said whatever you two work out is up to you.”
  • “About $75 for full service, less for anything else. All-right. Great. We’re open all night. Looking forward to seeing you.”

Independent Confirmation of my In-Depth Journalistic Investigation: Just had to check their website under “prices” and there it is, all laid out. Not hard at all.

  • Stop by The Oasis on Via Veneto or call The Oasis for in-room delivery at 264-4785 or 264-1351 to get the best value for your dollar. We offer the lowest prices for basic and full-service massages in the city, not to mention some of the most beautiful ladies to entertain and please you.
  • $30.00 Basic massage
  • $50.00 Full-service massage from 11:30am – 2:30pm (Lunch Time Special, must be requested to apply)
  • $75.00 Full-service massage after 2:30pm
  • $80.00 Full-service massage in your hotel room
  • $100.00 Full-service massage with 2 girls in our place.
  • Get a $5 discount of any full-service massage after 2:30pm by printing out our coupon! We accept cash, travelers checks, American Express, Visa and Mastercard

What? You Want to Stamp my Passport? Any of the girls who come to work as “alternadoras” get a big, fat stamp in their passport which basically screams “hooker” to the world. Many times girls will show up at a place to work but not want to have their passport stamped and they want to work off of the books. That exposes the owner to the same kinds of problems that the owner of the Midnight Club had with a bunch of Colombian “tourists” working as independents under his roof. That’s It For Now: It’s late and my eyes are getting blurry. This is a subject that deserves my full attention for awhile, just because if Panama did it right they could turn this place into a real magnet for the “entertainment” industry. And doing it wrong leads to dumb wandering gringos (or gringas) who get caught up in the wrong crowd and end up doing 20 hard in La Joyita. Just ask Debra Ann Ridgley who was having a lot of fun with her nice new Colombian friends that she met at the casino. Caveat emptor is always in effect, and even more so for the intrepid international sex traveler. Korean Ferry and Malaysian Air Flight 370 Everyone knows that Asian can not drive anything.

News of the World by Panama Jack in exile in Costa Rica

The dirty little secret is out, if you ever lived in Los Angeles it is common knowledge that if you are driving on a freeway and you come upon a car that is in the fast lane going 35 miles and hour when is is supposed to be doing 65 miles and hour that there is an Asian behind the wheel or if you are behind a car at a light and the light turns green and the car in front of you does not move it is being driven by an Asian.

Growing up in Los Angeles we thought it was amusing that every time you got behind a car that was doing something stupid, we would bet each other that there was an Asian behind the wheel of that car and 98% of the time we were right.

Asian Drivers

Asians are just bad drivers and that is all there is to it and if you put them behind the controls of an airplane you going to have a problem and if you put them behind the controls of a ferry or ship they are going to have a problem.

Asian pilots can not dive

Just take a look at the Asiana airplane crash in San Francisco, they tried to blame it on the aircraft, but everyone in the world knew it was pilot error, there was an Asian behind the controls while landing at San Francisco International Airport.

I do not want to knock any more Asians, because they are great cooks, just go into any Sushi Bar in Los Angeles or any Chinese or Korean Restaurant and you will be amazed at the food and the skill that goes into the food they prepare.

best Asian drivers

Also Asians make some of the best products in the world, like Cell Phones, Cars, Cameras and they are great copiers. You show them a watch and they can reproduce it and some time even better.

I once bought a couple of Samira Swards from an auction that were made, one in 1,100 AD and other in 1,400 AD they were beautiful, but one of them was copy of a great sward maker of the time, signed with his name. A fake copy made of an other mans sward in 1,100 AD.

The Asian Drivers and Pilots should not be held responsible for these accidents that they have all the time, the people who issued them operators license should be held responsible,

This is just one reporters view.

Muslim Islamists Abduct and Rape more than 100 girls from Nigeria school

Muslim Islamist s abduct and Rape more than 100 girls from Nigeria school

News of the World by Panama Jack in Exile in Costa Rica

April 17, 8:42 PM AFP
The unprecedented mass abduction in Borno state came hours after a bomb blast ripped through a crowded bus station on the outskirts of Abuja, killing 75 people, the deadliest attack ever in Nigeria’s capital.

Islamic Rape School Girls

The violence underscored the serious threat the Islamists pose to Africa’s most populous country, with the group capable of carrying out large-scale attacks in remote areas and massive bombings in major urban centres.

Gunmen stormed the Government Girls Secondary School in the Chibok area of Borno after sundown on Monday, torching several buildings before opening fire on soldiers and police who were guarding the school, witnesses said.

They ultimately overpowered the guards and entered the school, said Emmanuel Sam, an education officer based in Chibok who fled to the state capital Maiduguri after the attack.

The girls were then forced onto trucks and driven away by the attackers, multiple witnesses said.

A security source who requested anonymity said more than 100 girls were taken and blamed the attack on Boko Haram, a radical group whose name means “Western education is forbidden”.

“We were able to follow the path of the truck and we found it broke down deep in the bush,” the source told AFP.

“We are now trying to locate the whereabouts of the abducted girls,” he added.

Some of the schoolgirls narrowly escaped their kidnappers by jumping off a truck in the middle of the night before running back to Chibok.

One of those who escaped said their opportunity to flee came when some of the gunmen became distracted after one of the vehicles in the convoy broke down.

EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton “strongly” condemned the abductions, saying the 28-nation bloc stands with Nigeria in its struggle against terrorism.

“I am concerned by the increasing frequency and spread of terrorist attacks,” she said in a statement.

“The EU stands with the people and the government of Nigeria in the fight against terrorism and violence and for the rule of law and human rights,” Ashton added.

Boko Haram is blamed for killing thousands of people across north and central Nigeria since 2009 in an uprising aimed at creating a strict Islamic state in the north.

The group has carried out scores of school attacks, spraying gunfire on students in their sleep and bombing educational buildings across the north.

But a mass kidnapping specifically targeting girls is unprecedented in the group’s rebellion.

- Capital on ‘red alert’ -

Much of Boko Haram’s recent violence has been concentrated in the northeast, the group’s historic stronghold, where more than 1,500 people have been killed already this year.

The military, which launched a massive offensive in the region last year, had said it has confined the Islamists in the remote region, a claim discredited by Monday’s mass bombing just a few kilometres from the seat of government.

VThe Abuja bombing “isn’t a surprise”, Alex Vines, head of the Africa programme at the London think-tank Chatham House told AFP.

“It’s just a reminder that the threat remains. It is completely consistent with what we know about Boko Haram,” he added.

The health ministry’s casualty figures for the bombing include 75 dead with another 141 wounded, but spokesman Dan Nwomeh said the death toll may rise as more victims were identified — a difficult task as their “bodies were totally dismembered”.

Police in the capital have been put on “red alert,” with security intensified “at all vulnerable targets,” spokesman Frank Mba said.

Central Abuja, home to major hotels, foreign embassies and sprawling government complexes, has been mostly locked down for more than two years, with security reinforced after an August 2011 car bombing at the United Nations headquarters in the city, also blamed on Boko Haram.

The World Economic Forum said it would go ahead with an Africa conference scheduled for May 7 to May 9 in Abuja despite the bombing and pledged to protect delegates with “the largest security operation ever mounted in (Nigeria) for an international summit”.

What Has Rand Paul Ever Done???

The GOP’s Amateur Hour With Rand Paul and Ted Cruz

By Richard Cohen, and News of the World by Panama Jack

Published: April 14, 2014 10:22 A.M.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but what has Rand Paul ever done? Oh, sure, he’s a member of the U.S. Senate, but only a freshman, and it’s the only political office he has held. He’s an ophthalmologist, a father, a husband and the son of Ron Paul, who used to run for president. So now it is son Rand who is doing so. Aside from family tradition, the question is why?

Rand Paul and Ted Cruz Voted Ass Holes of the Year, by Americans

Rand Paul and Ted Cruz Voted Ass Holes of the Year, by Americans

Last month, Paul won the Conservative Political Action Conference straw poll with 31 percent of the vote. Second in the hearts of conservatives that day was Sen. Ted Cruz, yet another right-wing darling whose record is unblemished by significant achievement. He, too, is a Senate freshman and by virtue of inexperience feels he knows so much more than his colleagues.

How Many Ass Holes Do You See In This Picture, I See 3

How Many Ass Holes Do You See In This Picture, I See Three

At the moment Paul has the momentum. He just appeared at the Freedom Summit in Manchester, N.H., where, according to The Post, he generated the most excitement. Cruz also attended the event, as did Mike Huckabee (back from the politically dead), Donald Trump, running or not running for the umpteenth time, and Rep. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, who may or may not be seeking the White House.

Mike Huckabee and Rand Paul Government by Morons

Mike Huckabee and Rand Paul Government by Morons

Either way, the result will be the same. All this might seem something of a joke. Blackburn is probably not a household name on her own block. Huckabee has failed before and will undoubtedly fail again. Trump would probably prefer to run for president than actually be one. But it is Paul who commands attention. A fair number of Republicans are drawn to his putative candidacy on the basis, it seems, of what he opposes — big government, the Federal Reserve, foreign aid, federal education programs and, of course, abortion — more than anything he has done.

If you compare Paul to Republican presidential nominees of yesteryear, you can get an idea of just how far the GOP has sunk. Mitt Romney was the governor of Massachusetts and a very successful businessman. John McCainis a long-serving senator and war hero. George W. Bush was twice elected governor of Texas;Bob Dole had been Senate majority leader;George H.W. Bush had been just about everything; and Ronald Reagan was governor of California for two terms.

Obviously, experience does not in itself predict a successful presidency — one can hardly do worse than the younger Bush — but inexperience all but guarantees trouble. Barack Obama’s missteps in both foreign and domestic policy — the Obamacare rollout debacle and the Syrian fiasco — were undoubtedly a consequence of inexperience. Especially in foreign policy, where decisions can be made instantly and without advance congressional approval, experience matters greatly.

My doubts about Paul, while based somewhat on his bizarre positions, are really grounded in a fear of the amateur. I expressed similar reservations about Elizabeth Warren, who seemingly moments after being elected a senator from Massachusetts was being mentioned by fellow left-wing Democrats as a presidential candidate. Warren had the good sense to take herself out of contention.

The plight of the Republican Party is now — so to speak — playing on Broadway. I am speaking of the late Lorraine Hansberry’s still-powerful “A Raisin in the Sun,” this time around with Denzel Washington heading up a remarkable cast. What you need to know is that Hansberry was raised in a Republican household. That was once hardly remarkable — many African Americans owed allegiance to the party of Abraham Lincoln. Franklin D. Roosevelt wooed them, and over time Republicans abandoned them. The GOP became hostile to civil rights.

Hansberry, who drifted toward radicalism, was also active in the lesbian movement. The Republican Party has done for homosexual rights what it did to civil rights. It has become the voice of recalcitrance, smoothly transitioning from opposing one form of civil rights to another. I will spare you the cliche about being on the wrong side of history, but you get the idea. Throw in anti-immigrant sentiment, opposition to increasing the minimum wage, seeming resistance to all things feminist — and you have a political party with very little to say to moderates. The GOP always sounds like a crank.

Little wonder then that its presidential candidates range from the callow to the comedic. (I exempt Paul Ryan and Jeb Bush from this group.) Rand Paul is in the former category — a gaggle of ideas untethered to practicality or practical experience. He remains a voice in the wilderness. He should stay there.

Jeb Bush to change his last name before he runs for President

News of the World by Panama Jack in Exile in Costa Rica

April 13, 2014  Costa Rican Time

Jeb Bush has decided to change his last name  to get rid of the Bush Kiss of Death last name.

Realizing that the Bush name represents three wars and two depressions.

Bush One AKA George Herbert Walker Bush started a war in Iraq that cost the country 100 billion dollars and left the presidency with the country in a depression.

Bush Two AKA George Walker Bush AKA Dumb Ass Mother Fucker, started Two Wars that we are still fighting and loosing Today at a cost of 16 Trillion Dollars and rising. Left the presidency with the country in the worst depression the world has ever seen or known. The United States is still trying to recover from this depression, but will never recover from a George W. Bush Depression ever. Except if you live in Texas where all the stolen money ended up.

Jeb Bush is looking to change his name one of the below.

Kennedy, a good name associated with the Peace Corp, Not going to war in Vietnam, not invading Cuba and being loved by the American People. But the name will not work for him, because his father George Herbert Walker Bush Shot and Killed John F. Kennedy in Dallas Texas, while he was working for the C.I.A. So count out the name Kennedy.

John Kennedy Assassination and who killed him

Clinton, A Good name associated with a bumming economy a prosperous economy, Great Sex along the lines of John Kennedy but not with Marilyn Monroe, but he did pull off having Great Sex and Cuban Cigars in the White House and it was not with Hillary. The problem with this is there is already a Clinton running fro President in 2016. This would look like to the American Voters a Clinton Come Lately or an other Hillary look a like.

Nixon, George H.W. Bush and Gerald Ford George is still alive and he needs to be hung for shooting Kennedy

Nixon, George H.W. Bush and Gerald Ford George is still alive and he needs to be hung for shooting Kennedy

Nixon, no not Nixon for this name will not fly in any election.  Most associated with the name Tricky Dick who orchestrated the John F. Kennedy assassination and was the only President of the United States to resign before being impeached and convicted for crimes against the Nation. Creator of the C.I.A. and pardoned by President Gerald Ford also the lead investigator in the John F. Kennedy assassination.

Washington, associated with being the first president of the United States of America and American Independence from England and being a great general who never lost a war unlike any Bush so far. No not Washington that will not work for Jeb Bush because George Washington owned slave and had sex with his House N Words and even fathered children with them.

Lincoln,  AKA Honest Abe.  Most associated with freeing African Americans from Slavery. being a Republican like Jeb Bush is his best choice. He can run on a platform of saving money, things like chiseling of the beard at the Lincoln Memorial, so that it looks like him.

Personally I think the Bush Dynasty is over except for the hanging of George H.W. Bush for killing Kennedy and the Hanging of George W. for bankrupting the American economy for the personal gain of himself and his close friends.

I gona Vote for Mitt Romney
